E-zekiel.tv Makes News Among Alabama BaptistsThe Alabama Baptist, the official newspaper of the Alabama Baptist Convention State Board of Missions, featured the launch of the Christian-based, video-sharing site E-zekiel.tv in its November 29 issue.
Montgomery, Alabama — November 29, 2007 – Bill Nix, president and CEO of Axletree Media, the company responsible for the free online service, said in the article, “E-zekiel.tv is the answer to the question many churches have been asking.” Nix explained that many churches have wanted to share videos online, but could not consider the option of YouTube because of the possibility of questionable content that could be posted nearby. To prevent that from happening on E-zekiel.tv, however, videos are monitored as they are uploaded. As the article noted, participants at the Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference in Mobile were given small video cameras in order to give E-zekiel.tv a try. One tester, Jim Jackson of the Elmore Baptist Association, reported that he’s already envisioning the churches in his association using E-zekiel.tv to post welcome videos for new members, among other things. The beta release of E-zekiel.tv is an outgrowth of the E-zekiel content management system that has enabled more than 8,500 customers worldwide to create and manage their web presence. Yet the free service is not limited to E-zekiel.com customers. Any organization with a Christian message is free to store video at E-zekiel.tv. Joining the service begins with a visit to www.e-zekiel.tv, where new members will be asked to create a user name and password, enter an email address and verify a security code. There is no limit to the number videos that can be uploaded.
