E-zekiel and United Methodist Communications Team Up for Web Training

A regional technology training event held Nov. 30 – Dec. 1 in Fayetteville, Arkansas for a wide range of participants from churches, districts and organizations within the United Methodist Church promoted ministry via the Internet.

Fayetteville, AR - December 1, 2007 – Building on the theme “Weaving a Web of Connections,” key topics of discussion included the E-zekiel content management system which enables individuals – regardless of whether they are technological novices or experts – to create websites and use other digital communication tools quickly and cost-efficiently.

The UMC, a reseller of E-zekiel, has made the platform available to churches and ministries for as little as $15 a month.

During a panel discussion, participants were given insight into the technological tools E-zekiel provides to enhance ministry and build community. Additionally, a break-out session on E-zekiel’s template-based design demonstrated how church communicators can create a site and participate in global communication with only as much technical savvy as needed to learn word-processing software.
